Anusree Nair (born 24 October 1990) is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in the 2012 film Diamond Necklace in a leading role. Since then she has acted in a number of Malayalam films in female lead roles.[1][2]

Early life[edit]

Anusree was born on 24 October 1990 in Kerala, to father Muraleedharan Pillai, a clerk at the Kerala Water Authority, and mother Shobhana, a housewife.[3] She was brought up in Kamukumchery, Kollam district.[1] She has an elder brother, Anoop.[4] She did her schooling at Manjakala

Anusree impressed director Lal Jose while he was judging the acting reality showVivel Active Fair Big Break on Surya TV,[5] in which she was competing,[6] leading to her film debut as Kalamandalam Rajasree in Lal Jose's 2012 film Diamond Necklace. Right afterwards, she starred in films such as Left Right Left (2013), Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum (2013), and Angry Babies in Love (2014). She's notable for her lead roles in the films Ithihasa (2014) and My Life Partner (2014).[7][7][8] Anusree got nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her role as Sushama in Chandrettan Evideya (2015). 2016 was a notable year for her, for her roles as Soumya in Dileesh Pothan's Maheshinte Prathikaaram and Police ACP Ganga in Priyadarshan's Oppam. She went on to star in films such as Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho (2016), Oru Cinemakkaran (2017), Aadhi (2018), and Panchavarnathatha (2018).

Anusree was initially cast in the female lead role in the highest-grossing Malayalam film, Pulimurugan (2016), opposite to Mohanlal. Due to a problem with a vein in her left shoulder she had to undergo a surgery which made her to opt out of the film.[9][10] Later Bengali actress Kamalini Mukherjee replaced her but later she worked with Mohanlal in Priyadarshan's Oppam (2016).[11] She will be seen next in Madhura Raja (2019) opposite to Mammootty.[12]

Rajashree (born 29 April 1977) is an Indian film actress who made her debut in Bharathiraja's 1994 film Karuththamma playing the lead character. Since then she has appeared in over 60 films in both Tamil and Telugu. She also is a popular serial artist and has acted in over 30 serials, establishing herself as a leading serial artist.

Career[edit]

Actress Rajashree made her debut in Tamil Cinema with Bharathiraja's 'Karuthamma'. Winning laurels for her prodigious performance, she continued getting on with fantastic shows in Sethu, Nandha, Run, Manasellam, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Rajashree has spelled prominent roles around 57 films in Telugu and Tamil. Apart from Silver Screen, the actress leaped with best credits in TV series 'Aalayam', 'Agal Vilakku', 'Mandhira Vasal' and 'Sivamayam'.[5]

Personal life[edit]

Rajashree married Ansari Raja, a Muslim and proprietor of 'Body Shape Gym' after being in love for some time. It was a customary marriage according to Hindu-Muslim religion that was attended by their family members and close friends. But, however the couple split after living together for just one month.

In 2010, she married computer engineer Bujankar Rao in a secret ceremony in Vijayawada. The wedding took place at the popular Kanaka Durga temple and was attended by just a few family and friends of the couple. The Hyderabad-based Bujankar Rao is a relative of Rajashree.
