Hello, Does anyone know how to stop the collapsing paddle from spinning during the RISE cycle?? In the first rise cycle the bread rose up like a normal loaf should, then as soon as the paddle spun it went flat (pushing all the air out of it) then went flatter and flatter in subsequent rise cycles when the paddle spun. Please help :-)
Just bought the used one, but without the manual. Is anyone kind enough to share the manual online please? Tks, Loby
The Instruction Manual for the Custom Loaf Pro (which is very similar) is available at https://breville.com.au/collections/bread-makers/products/the-custom-loaf-pro?variant=35297355154Thanks and eventually Breville customer service emailed me one, they are really helpful & efficient.
The instructions for the current model presume that the paddle can be easily removed: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1998/3907/files/BBM800BSS_ANZ_IB.pdf?9672316825121457891 The paddle in my pre-owned BB420 is so difficult to remove that I am cleaning it in place. The paddle should wriggle free, pulling up as turning..as per instructions, next time you are successful removing paddle spray a little kitchen non stick spray on paddle rod in the bowl. Otherwise contact Breville they were very helpful.1/2 fill the pan with hot, soapy water. Wait a little while and you can pull the paddle out easily. You really need to do this because it is too difficult to properly clean around the paddle with it in situ. Cheers.
I found one onlne but i had to look very hard. I could email it to you if you like. Send me an email and I'll reply with it as an attachment. My email is : linda.fraser@live.com.auGo to: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/372951/Breville-Bb420.html and download the manual
Hi I bought a second hand model BB420 for $20 but when I use it, the alarm light is constantly on, any idea why? I've read the instruction manual & I can't seem to find it in the book. Cheers
We have two BB400 breadmakers and they don't have alarm lights. They do have a red led that comes on when you press start (after the machine has been programmed). It stays on until the loaf is finished then it flashes for about 30 min while it keeps the loaf warm then it turns off. Our book doesn't mention anything about an alarm either. Sorry, that isn't much help, regards, Greg
My bread tin began to wobble while processing dough for a Pizza, it also made a loud banging noise while processing. What would cause this to occur? What model has superceded the Ultimate Bakers model BB420B?
Hi Beejay, Our customer service team may be able to assist you on this question. Can we suggest you contact them on askus@breville.com.au or 1300 139 798. Kind regards, The Breville Team
I bought a Breville Baker's oven about 6 months ago. The first few loaves were perfect. I use rapid bread wholemeal recipe from the instruction book. One day the loaves began to bake with unmixed flour on one corner side of the bread. I use the exact recipe each time and I have not cleaned the bin insert with anything other than a moist paper towel. I also clean the blade straight away and clean around it. Has anyone else discovered this issue and if so how did you remedy it? Thanks...Grace
Hey Grace..mine does always have a tiny bit of dry flour left but only a couple of teaspoons...i found that by adding a couple more drops of water in during mix one i notice it not blending right helps..also good quality extra virgin oil not cheaps rubbish is also advisable...try a different brand of bread flour next time maybe..i mix up the brands and find them all so different..winter and summer produce two completely different loaves too i found...yeast doesnt last as long as it says on the 'use by date' xxx satchets best....hope you keep going with the baking xThanks Doolan - I will try these suggestions ....Grace
Where can buy a collapsible blade for the ultimate baker's oven?
Gosh...no idea...presume you would email customer service at Breville...try googling their contact us page...good luck
Hi I've been using my BB420 bakers oven since 2000! Have just moved house and the instruction manual has gone walkabout. Now I know I should remember the recipes after all this time but I'm getting on a bit! Does anyone know where to find an online copy? I've tried the Australian Brevill website but no joy cheers Mike
Hi Miket, Please email or call our customer service centre on 1300 139 798 or askus@breville.com.au as they might be able to send you a copy.
Ho wlong should an oven last? I have had mine since 1998, but it has been in the cupbiard for a few years. I have started making bread agian and the first 2 loaves were fine. A couple of failures which I thinkwas the yeast. The last one I made rose nicely but had a very hard bottom - thick and dense whereas the top was light and had holes. Any suggestions? Time to buy a new one?
Well I'm no doctor but I reckon keep going with this one because likelihood is you will get tired of it like all of us and put it away for another fifteen years anyway..i have started making bread by hand and it us far superior to the machine...
We bought a Breville bread maker many years ago (maybe 7years now) as a present which was not given. We recently did find someone to give it to as a Kitchen Tea present and they have come back to us after using it only twice and said that when they plugged the unit it there was no power. What should we do now???
I doubt there is a lot you can do given the time that has passed...i would call Breville customer service but dont expect a great response, just hope to get hold of a nice service person....what a shame....mine is going strong years after i bought it but perhaps sitting unused in the cupboard wasnt great for the machine..hope you get some answers.Hi CM, please contact our customer service department on 1300 139 798 or email at askus@breville.com.au to see if there may be anything that can be done.We ended up having to throw it out with the council tip collection! What a waste and an embarrassing gift full of trouble for everyone! We did buy another most recent Breville model as a replacement (not happy to have paid twice for the same gift)... hope there are no problems with this one! Although, I don't think the same people would tell us twice if it failed again - it would just end up alongside the first Breville Bread Maker at the tip!
I have a Breville Breadmaker BBM 100 which cannot be set at all, any suggestions?
Hi Jane, the BBM100 is a programmable breadmaker, so it should be able to be set. If you are still having problems, please either phone our customer care centre on 1300 273 845 or email your query through to askus@breville.com.au
